1963 Jaguar MK II 3.8

  • Dry State California car
  • Genuine MK II 3.8
  • Beautifully restored
  • Sensible Upgrades
  • Long term ownership

Leaving the Jaguar factory in September 1963, and exported to Santiago from new, this superb 1963 Jaguar MK II spent its life in the dry state of California, and was therefore an ideal rust-free starting point for a full restoration when it returned to the UK in the 1990s.

Converted to RHD the restoration took a total of 10 years during which time the car was the subject of a bare-metal repaint, full engine rebuild, the fitting of a later all-syncro gearbox, new chrome wires and a full retrim with new leather, carpets and headlining. It also was modified with power steering and upgraded brakes, while visually it had the larger Coombs-style rear arches fitted.

In the same ownership for over two decades, the restoration was completed in 2001, and in the past ten years, the car has been little used (as the owner worked abroad) but meticulously maintained as evidenced in the bills for over £22,000 in the history file. As such the car looks as fresh today as it did when newly restored. It comes with a JDHT Heritage Certificate.

A great driving car, in superb condition and beautifully restored, interested parties can speak directly to the owner for more information on 07592 816166, or contact ORC in the usual way.
