Twisted have become the acknowledged experts in the evolution and development of the ‘bespoke’ Land Rover Defender and with this example of their T40S model it is easy to see why. With factory production of the original Defender ceasing in 2015, and affection for the most iconic of the 4x4s showing no sign of declining, and the bespoke-built versions created by Twisted continue to be sought after and command premium values.

A Twisted from new, this example was originally owned by Twisted founder Charles Fawcett. It was subsequently acquired in 2020 by the previous owner and immediately returned it to Twisted for a full evaluation. Any areas requiring attention were dealt with and further upgrades were fitted along with a major service. An invoice on file from Twisted amounting to £25,000 details the work completed. On the road this Twisted really does impress, the much-enhanced torque and power upgrade of the 2. 2 litre diesel engine is immediately obvious, and the suspension and brake upgrades make it a great companion on twisty country roads. The leather Recaro seats and Twisted sports steering wheel greatly improve the seating position and cabin ambience helping to make it much more comfortable in every way than the standard product. A myriad of other detail upgrades make the Twisted feel a much higher quality product, for example the headlights are vastly improved and the bolts are now stainless steel.

This example has covered 48.500 miles with a full history from new and remains in excellent condition in all respects.
