This original wire ‘manichino’ or mannequin is the reference frame used by Italian coach builders to craft aluminium bodies. This particular example is for an
Aston Martin DB4 Zagato and has been restored and painted California Sage Green as were many of the original cars. It is full size and spectacular.
A wonderfully rare item, it is ideally suited to be wall or floor mounted in a reception or hung from the ceiling above a collection. Not only is it a fantastic sculptural piece, and a genuine work of art, but also a working tool and and tribute to the coachbuilder’s craft.
