  • Excellent Condition

This superb example is newly restored in Gloss Black and Tobacco Leather, and features a 4.2 dry sump engine. According to its Lynx chassis number this particular Lynx was constructed in 1986, and was the 31st car built of around 50 cars in total.

It was acquired as a Long Nose D-type by The Old Racing Car Company in 2013 for conversion into an XKSS . We undertook this work as Jaguar did in the 1950s when it had a backlog of unsold D-Types. The solution then was to create a road-going D-Type and as result was the XKSS, one of the most iconic cars of all time and a particular favourite of the King of Cool Steve McQueen.

It is no surprise then that Jaguar announced last year that the company was to build a limited edition of just nine ‘continuation’ XKSSs, utilising the un-used period chassis numbers of the XKSSs that were destroyed in the infamous Brown’s Lane factory fire. All nine cars were quickly snapped up for over £1.2M each and are now being delivered to clients

This is the second time we have had the pleasure to offer this fabulous car. With perhaps no more than 15 Lynx XKSS in existence this is a rare opportunity to acquire an excellent example in stunning condition.
