The Old Racing Car Company has marked the opening of its new US showroom in Southern California with the launch of a new website.

The 7,000 square foot facility is located in Costa Mesa, Southern California, and is run by John Bothwell, who many American customers will already know as a third generation member of the Bothwell family, who have been long-time car collectors on the West Coast.

The new showroom features a wide variety of cars sourced in both the US, Europe and elsewhere. “We are opening up a huge new market In the US for consignees who place their cars with us,” says John. “We have recently taken delivery of two customers’ cars, shipped to us from the UK, and the first sold within two weeks of arrival, and the other is attracting serious interest.”

“While the US is still the biggest international market, the UK remains the global shop window for classic cars, and with its proximity to Europe it is also the stepping-off point to many of the most important events in the historic calendar,” says ORC’s Roy Kent. “So it’s a great advantage to have a presence on both sides of the Atlantic, and we are one of the few companies that do.

The US office is already showing how beneficial it is for our clients and customers alike and we’re hoping to develop exciting two-way traffic between both markets.”
